The challenge
Restaurant inventory software is a crowded category. Buyers range from a single café to a multi-site franchise, and each searches in its own terms: “bakery stock management”, “bar inventory software”, “food cost calculator”.
One generic product page can’t rank for all of them, and a long buying cycle means the site also needs content that keeps operators coming back until they book a demo.
What we did
01
10 pages written for specific operator types: large chains and franchises, quick service, cafés, fine dining, bakeries, pizzerias, cloud kitchens, bars and breweries, ice cream and dessert shops, and food courts and canteens.
02
Pages for each core capability, including stock control, recipe management, procurement, supplier and order management, transfers between locations and analytics, plus market pages for the US, the Gulf and Greece.
03
A food cost calculator, a beverage cost calculator and a free stocktake app: useful tools that reach operators early and give other sites a reason to link.
04
Homepage schema for SoftwareApplication, Organization, LocalBusiness, WebSite and FAQPage, and a blog of 230+ articles on inventory, food cost and restaurant operations, with 100 published or updated in 2026.

A bakery owner and a franchise operations manager need the same software for very different reasons, and they search in different words. Writing a landing page for each segment lets every buyer land on a page that speaks their language, shows the features they care about and answers the objections they are likely to have. It also gives search engines a clear page to rank for each segment instead of one generic product page trying to rank for everything.
Calculators and free apps solve a small problem immediately. Operators bookmark them, share them with colleagues, and other sites link to them as useful resources. For a SaaS brand, a well-built free tool is often the most efficient link-earning asset on the site, and it introduces the product to buyers long before they are ready for a demo.
SoftwareApplication, Organization, LocalBusiness, WebSite and FAQPage markup tell search engines and AI assistants exactly what the product is, who makes it and which questions it answers. You can see how Google reads this markup with the Rich Results Test. Clear structured data is part of the foundation for AI visibility optimization.
Inventory, food cost and supplier topics change with prices, regulations and technology. Updating older articles, not just publishing new ones, keeps the library accurate and signals that the site is maintained, which matters for both rankings and trust.
Calculators reach operators who are still exploring a problem, blog articles help them understand it, and segment pages help them choose software. Mapping every page to a stage makes gaps obvious and keeps internal links pointing buyers towards a demo.
This segment-led model fits SaaS companies with one product and several distinct customer types, especially in crowded categories where generic pages struggle to rank. It pairs well with free tools when the product solves a problem that can be demonstrated in a simple calculator or checklist.
For StockTake Online the work was planned so each piece supports the others: free tools attract operators early, blog articles answer their questions as they research, and segment pages convert them when they are ready to compare software.
